(WVUE) - Sunday is turning out as nicely as expected with plenty of sunshine and dry conditions. Winds remain generally out of the northeast with crystal clear sky. This trend continues into the day on Monday before we really start to see some moisture return to the area. The increased moisture will become more noticeable on Tuesday and we could see a pop-up shower or two, but we still remain mostly dry through the week.
Next weekend we will have to keep a close eye on as another front is set to approach the area. This could lead to some rain around on Friday and the possibility of it lingering through the weekend as the major models differ in how the scenario plays out. The American model pushes the front all the way through south to the Gulf as previous systems have been moving past in the last few weeks. The European model stalls the boundary increasing moisture and keeping a focus for showers around as we would typically begin to see as we transition from spring to summer. We will get a better idea as the time gets closer, in the meantime enjoy.
