AVONDALE, LA (WVUE) -

Going into the final round of the 2018 Zurich Classic, Kevin Kisner and Scott Brown led, but as the day progressed, 2013 Zurich Champion Billy Horschel and his partner Scott Piercy took control. Shooting a 5-under, 67, they took the title belts and the trophy.

"I would like to thank myself for playing well this week," said a laughing Billy Horschel. "It was great to play with Scott. Our games match up very well. We are really good ball-strikers. We think the same way."

Being a past champion Horschel is a huge fan of the Big Easy, and they love him back.

"I usually go to Desi's Steakhouse at least one night of the week. We went there Friday night, my dad and I, my uncle, and my manager. We had a great meal as always, he always takes care of us very well. It's just family. It's family with Desi, it's family with the Capella's, it's family with Zurich. I feel at home here. Maybe I should look into buying a house here. What's the state income tax? That's the other issue right there," said Horschel.

One of the biggest winners this weekend at Avondale, walk-up music on the first tee.

"Just to see the excitement and the attention. The speculation from the Golf Channel, ESPN, all the national media on what songs fit certain teams. That's great attention for Zurich, us, lends to the fun format," said CEO of Fore! Kids Foundation Steve Worthy.
