Woman accused of 3 DWIs and fatal crash in jail again

ST. TAMMANY PARISH, LA (WVUE) - A woman who is accused of killing a man in a fatal crash on the Causeway Bridge while driving under influence has been arrested again.

Oliva Matte, 27, was arrested Friday and is being held in St. Tammany Parish Jail.

Matte has been on probation following several arrests for DWI.

The suspect pleaded guilty to first offense DWI last week after an arrest for driving erratically in December 2016 on Hwy. 22 in Mandeville.

Matte had just completed a diversion program for a previous DWI. That DWI is no longer on her record.

After her latest guilty plea, a judge ordered Matte to serve two years' probation and remain on house arrest until the fatal DWI crash case was resolved.

It is unclear what led to the probation violation arrest in St. Tammany Parish on Monday.
