KENNER, LA (WVUE) - A report of 'sparking wires' at a Kenner Entergy substation, Monday evening, left thousands of residents with no electricity. According to a City of Kenner spokesperson, at 6:11 p.m. Kenner 911 was notified of the sparking wires at the substation, located at the intersection of Ole Miss Drive and Joe Yenni Boulevard.

The outage, affecting 3,000 customers in north Kenner, was reported around 6:30 p.m.

Crews are working to fix the issue and restore power to those affected.
