NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A former North Shore district attorney and his son are seeking to get their corruption convictions overturned.
Walter Reed and his son Steven have a hearing in a federal appeals court Tuesday.
Last April, a judge sentenced Walter to 48 months in prison after he was found guilty on 18 counts of public corruption charges.
The judge allowed him to remain free on bond while he appealed.
His son Steven was convicted of one count of conspiracy, wire fraud, and money laundering, but was not sentenced to serve prison time.
