NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department is searching for a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery and aggravated battery in Lafitte.

On Friday at 10:32 a.m. police say Ivory Carter stabbed a victim and stole his property from his backpack in the 1500 block of St. Phillip Street.

Carter's last known address was in the 2600 block of Verbena Street in the Third District, but he is known to frequent the 900 block of North Robertson Street and the surrounding area, according to the report.

Carter is wanted for armed robbery and aggravated battery. Carter is known to be armed.
