NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The New Orleans Police Department is searching for a man accused of stealing a vehicle from a gym in the Freret neighborhood in April.

The incident happened just after 4 p.m. in the 4600 block of Freret Street.

According to police, the suspect, who is identified as a white male, walked from Cadiz Street and approached the front door of the Anytime Fitness Gym. The suspect entered the gym after one of the patrons exited and bypassed the gym’s security measures.

The suspect went to storage bins used by gym patrons, took a set of vehicle keys and exited the gym. He then got into the victim’s vehicle and left the area southbound on Cadiz Street.

Police say the vehicle that was reported stolen is a black 2010 Mazda Tribute with the Texas license plate DP1J772.

Anyone with any information about this incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Second District Detectives at (504) 658-6020 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.

At No. 3 is a player long respected in New Orleans, but finally starting to get his due around the NFL last year. Cam Jordan is one the best edge defenders in all of football, and last year was his absolute best. Long deserving, Jordan was finally named a first team All-Pro.  He finished the season with a career-high 13 sacks. Well in the prime of his career. Jordan is showing no signs of slowing down, and more dominance is expected in 2018. Copyright 2018 WVUE. All right...more>>
