THIBODAUX, LA (WVUE) - Thibodaux police arrested a man who was allegedly exposing his genitals to women in a store.

Robert Matthews IV, 29, was booked with felony obscenity and possession of marijuana. He is being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on a $25,500 bond.

Officers said on Sunday they received reports of a man exposing himself on Sunday at the business in the 400 block of North Canal Blvd.

Police found Matthews, who matched the description given, still inside the store. Police said they were able to confirm that Matthews was the person exposing himself.

One of the victims said that she was in the shoe section when Matthews brushed against her buttocks. Thinking nothing of it at the time, she continued to shop. As she was bent over trying on a pair of shoes she saw someone standing approximately one foot in front of her with the points of the person's shoes facing her.

The victim looked up and saw Matthews with his pants and underwear pulled down as he was holding his genitalia in his hand. The victim began to yell, and Matthews quickly pulled his pants and underwear up, police said.

As police were arresting Matthews, they found suspected marijuana in his pants pocket. Matthews was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center for booking.
