BATON ROUGE (WAFB) -

Louisiana lawmakers approved a bill that could allow online fantasy sports gambling in the state.

The Senate voted 21-15 in favor of the measure Wednesday.

Representative Kirk Talbot's house bill would allow each parish to approve fantasy sports gambling.

Talbot said online fantasy sports could raise money for the state without increasing taxes.

If Governor John Bel Edwards agrees, voters will get to decide on the initiative in November.

Online fantasy sports gambling is already legal in 19 states.

At No. 3 is a player long respected in New Orleans, but finally starting to get his due around the NFL last year. Cam Jordan is one the best edge defenders in all of football, and last year was his absolute best. Long deserving, Jordan was finally named a first team All-Pro.  He finished the season with a career-high 13 sacks. Well in the prime of his career. Jordan is showing no signs of slowing down, and more dominance is expected in 2018. Copyright 2018 WVUE. All right...more>>
