NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Designs of Lee Circle proposed by Mitch Landrieu's administration were released Monday.

For more on the architectural renderings, read NOLA.com's article here.

The plan would rename the circle "Tivoli Circle," which is the name used until the 1880s.

The renderings are the first visual evidence of plans considered to redesign the city's most prominent traffic circle after the statue of Robert E. Lee was removed, according to the report.

Photos of the plan feature the circle with or without the column, an added plaza, foliage, fountains and waterfalls.
