Two men shot in LaPlace, witnesses won't talk, sheriff says

LAPLACE, LA (WVUE) -

Detectives said two men were shot in St. John Parish at a home in LaPlace on Sunday afternoon.

It happened in the 2600 block of English Colony Dr. around 4:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, deputies observed several people standing outside of a residence and shouting for help.

Deputies discovered one male victim inside the residence with a gunshot wound to the neck and another male victim inside the garage with a gunshot wound to the ribs.

Emergency medical services treated the victims and transported them to a local hospital where they are in stable condition, according to the sheriff’s office.
Officers said witnesses are not cooperating and there is no motive at this time.
