We shattered a record yesterday with a high of 96 beating the old record by 5 degrees. Today may be the same so take heat precautions.
We will stay mostly dry today with high pressure in place. We are on the dry side of the system currently over the Eastern Gulf of Mexico.
We will see some changes by the middle of the week as high pressure breaks down and more moisture is available for a few daytime storms.
A non-tropical area of low pressure over the Eastern Gulf of Mexico has a slight chance of becoming a subtropical or tropical storm in the next 24 to 48 hours before moving onshore over the Florida Panhandle. Florida looks very wet but we will remain on the mostly dry side of the system. We will continue to monitor.
