(WVUE) - The string of record high temperatures will likely continue into Friday. A few spotty storms are possible on Thursday but it looks mostly dry for the weekend.
By next week winds will turn more southerly helping to moderate our afternoon temperatures somewhat. Highs will likely be in the 80s close to the coast with a few lower 90s still possible well inland. An increase and clouds, as well as daily summer-like showers and storms, will help keep the lid on the extreme heat we've seen this past week.
