There is no change in sight as the string of record high temperatures will likely continue into Friday and possibly into the weekend. Little, if any rain is expected. There may be a few spotty storms by Sunday.
By next week winds will turn more southerly helping to moderate our afternoon temperatures somewhat. Highs will likely be in the 80s close to the coast with a few lower 90s still possible well inland. An increase and clouds as well as daily summer-like showers and storms will help keep the lid on the extreme heat we've seen this past week.
