KENNER, LA (WVUE) - A Kenner councilman's wife was arrested at a casino Thursday night after getting into an altercation over the right time to line dance.

The Treasure Chest Casino security was called to the incident involving Dona Reynaud, and another male and female.

Dona is the wife of former Kenner mayoral candidate and current District 3 councilman Keith Reynaud.

According to the police report, Dona was described as being intoxicated with glassy eyes and slurred speech.

Dona  told police that the argument started when she approached the female victim and told her that it was not the time to line dance.

According to the report, Dona  shoved the male victim, who then shoved her back.

The police report said that the male stood up and began yelling at Dona , but the situation was defused when a witness intervened.

Kenner police said Dona  took off her high heel shoes, ran back towards the victims and punched the male in the face. He fell out of his chair, which caused Dona  to fall on top of him, according to the report.

Police said Dona  and the male continued to tussle on the ground until security seperated them.

She was charged with one count disturbing the peace.
