More than 6,500 Entergy without power in Orleans and Jefferson Parishes

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Entergy New Orleans reports that nearly 6,500 customers are currently without power in Orleans and Jefferson Parishes.

Strong storms moved through the area causing the outages. 

Officials estimate that power will be restored to all of their customers around 8:30 p.m. Friday in Jefferson Parish and 11:59 p.m. Friday in Orleans Parish.
