NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The National World War II Museum will soon open a new exhibit honoring comedian Bob Hope and his performances for American Troops.

The exhibit titled "So Ready for Laughter: The Legacy of Bob Hope" will feature never before seen or published photographs, an interactive display and an original 10-minute documentary.

The exhibit is set to open Friday, May 25 and last until February 10, 2019.

Hope's daughter and CEO of the Bob and Dolores Hope Foundation will speak at the kickoff reception Thursday.

The Bob and Dolores Hope Foundation donated $3 million in 2016 to integrate Hope's story throughout the museum.
