Another hot day is on tap with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s. As high pressure to our east shifts farther away, onshore flow will increase our chances for afternoon storms. These storms may help to keep some spots just shy of record temperature levels. Overnight, lows will fall to the low to mid 70s.
Little change is expected for the rest of the work week. Rain chances will be around 40-50% with the most likely time for storms during the heat of the day.
As we approach the weekend, we are monitoring a plume of tropical moisture that could increase rain chances. Stay tuned for updates to the weekend forecast as it becomes more clear where that moisture will move.
