NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A two-alarm fire in St. Roch displaced three families Sunday night.

Around 8:00 p.m. The New Orleans Fire Department responded to reports of a fire at an abandoned house in the 2800 block of Law Street.

Firefighters found a one-story wood-framed vacant house at 2856 Law St. fully involved with fire.

By the time firefighters had arrived, the fire had already extended to an occupied multi-family home  to the immediate left and right of the fire.

Residents on either side of the abandoned home were able to make it out safely.

Fifteen NOFD units carrying forty-seven Fire Operations Personnel were able to bring this fire under control at 9:14 p.m.

The American Red Cross was requested to assist all the residents that will be displaced by this incident.

New Orleans Medical Services (NOEMS), Entergy and the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) were on scene assisting with the mitigation of this incident.  There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is being investigated.

This weekend, Davenport was back at practice, and all signs point to the rookie playing against the Chargers this Saturday. "The assignment, he'll know. He's been practicing in the meetings. It's just making sure he's 100 percent. But I anticipate that happening this week. I anticipate him being able to work this week and get some playing time," said Sean Payton. The Un...
