NOPD: Cashier shoved against wall by robber and forced to open register

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a robbery at a South Carrollton Avenue Subway Saturday morning.

Police say the robbery happened at 10:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of South Carrollton Ave.

According to the cashier, a black male walked into the business wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, black tennis shoes and a black t-shirt wrapped around his face.

The suspect allegedly walked around the counter, grabbed the cashier by the neck, shoved her against the wall and demanded that she open the register. The cashier replied and the suspect took the cash before fleeing the store.
