As Subtropical Storm Alberto stays east of the area, expected to make landfall along the Florida Panhandle later today, our Memorial Day will be relatively dry. Brief showers wrapping around the tropical system may impact Southeast Louisiana, but we certainly dodged the heaviest rain.
Highs will reach the upper 80s to near 90 today, and overnight lows will only fall to the 70s. Aside from a stray shower or storm, the rest of the week will turn hot and sunny with highs in the 90s. Expect rain chances in the 20-30% range until they increase on Sunday as a front approaches the area.
