Several New Orleans Starbucks locations closing for anti-bias training

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Most of the Starbucks across the New Orleans area will close for anti-bias training Tuesday, according to our partners at NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune.

The coffee giant will close about 8,000 locations across the country.

The move comes after the manager of a Philadelphia Starbucks called police to arrest two black men for trespassing because they were sitting in the store without placing an order.

Twenty five of the 35 Starbucks locations in the New Orleans area will close early at 2:30 p.m. for training.
