SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) - The state ethics board filed charges against a band director, his assistant, and the color guard director associated with Northshore High School in Slidell.

The board alleges Daniel Eitmann, Adam Colbenson and Lynette Kenyon took trips to Disney World in Florida, and also to Gatlinburg, TN.

The three could face fines from the state if they are found guilty of violating the ethics code.

The state said boosters paid for the trips. The questionable spending would violate laws that say servants of the state cannot take money outside of their normal salary. | The Times-Picayune tried to contact all three of the accused people in the investigation. Colbenson said he could not comment. The other two could not be reached.

The St. Tammany Parish School System Superintendent, Trey Folse, released a statement:

"The School System has fully cooperated with the Board of Ethics as part of this ongoing investigation. Booster Clubs are support organizations that operate under a Board of Directors that are run independently outside of the School System."

Eitmann is no longer employed with the system, Kenyon was never an employee and Colbenson is still employed.
