We can expect hot and dry conditions to stick around for the rest of the week. Temperatures will run several degrees above normal and flirt with record highs this weekend. It will feel like the triple digits during the afternoon thanks to the humidity. Highs will be in the 90s, and morning lows will be in the mid to upper 70s.
A "cold front" will approach the area late in the weekend and may bring a few storms Sunday afternoon. However, temperatures will soar to the mid and upper 90s.
A few spots may even hit 100 degrees north and west of the lake. Lower humidity is possible next week if the "cold front" moves through the area but temperatures are likely to stay in the lower 90s.
