NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The oppressive heat will continue on Sunday as highs reach the mid-90s. A round of afternoon pop-up storms is likely, and a few of them could be strong in the afternoon and evening hours. The main threats from these stronger storms include heavy rain, lightning, strong winds, and small hail.
Slightly less humid air moves in on Monday, but it will still be warm with highs in the low 90s. Daily afternoon shower and storm chances return for the rest of the week. Highs will remain in the lower 90s.
