(WVUE) - There still remains a chance for storms to form late this afternoon and evening. They will likely be widely scattered but a few could be strong to severe. Slightly drier and less humid air will filter into the area on Monday. However, it should be no surprise that it will be short-lived.
Southeast Louisiana will remain on the edge of a strong high-pressure area bringing serious heat to Texas. Disturbances will rotate around the high bringing occasional storm chances late Tuesday and Wednesday and possibly into Thursday.
The high will get stronger again by the end of the week and temperatures will go back up and the chance for storms will be spotty at best.
