(WVUE) - LSU was down to their final three outs, Sunday, trailing Northwestern State by a run but a half-inning later, the Tigers led 9-5, after a five-run rally. That was all the squad would need to beat the Demons.
Nick Coomes, and Jake Slaughter registered RBI singles to tie the game, and give LSU an advantage. Hal Hughes ground-rule double knocked in two more runners to extend the lead to 8-5.
LSU meets up with Oregon State at 8 p.m. Sunday night. The Beavers crushed LSU Saturday, 14-1.
