NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans City Hall has introduced a new way for residents to bring forth concerns.

In an effort to be as accessible and responsive as possible to residents, City Hall has established Community Office Hours.

According to a news release issued by City Hall, the initiative is intended to provide an opportunity to discuss issues within the community, and give residents the opportunity for direct dialogue with City staff about interests and concerns.

The implementation of this initiative began on Monday,when City staff spent regular office hours on Mondays and Wednesday at various locations within the community.

Community Office Hours will enable City Hall to be accessible and helpful to more residents within neighborhoods, according to the report.

Office hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and are scheduled by district as followed:

District A:  Robert Smith Library (Mondays and Wednesdays)

  • 6301 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124

District B:  Keller Community Center (Mondays and Wednesdays)

  • 1814 Magnolia St., New Orleans, LA 70113

District C:  Backatown Coffee (Mondays)

  • 301 Basin St.  Suite 1, New Orleans, LA 70112

Algiers Regional Library (Wednesdays)

  • 3014 Holiday Drive, New Orleans, LA 70131

District D:  Pontilly Coffee (Monday and Wednesdays)

  • 4000 Chef Menteur Hwy., New Orleans, LA 70126

District E:  Martin Luther King Public Library (Mondays)

  • 1611 Caffin Ave., New Orleans, LA 70117

East New Orleans Regional Library (Wednesdays)

  • 5641 Read Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70127
