As promised, Sunday saw quite a few more storms than on Saturday. Most locations managed to get in on a shower or two. As we head into the work week, the pattern of more storms around will continue. The high pressure that kept development down has retreated west and we can expect to see greater rain coverage with lots of warm moist air in place.
Fairly-typical summer weather is on tap this week with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s and about a 40% for storms each day. It won't be raining everywhere all day, but those that end up under a storm can see brief heavy down pours, gusty winds and lots of lightning.
The tropics remain quiet and as of now tropical development is not expected over the next five days. We could see an increase in moisture by next weekend ramping-up rain chances even more.
