ALGIERS, LA (WVUE) -

Edna Karr is the dominant school in Class 4A after back-to-back state titles. The Cougars now want a three-peat. One of the top cornerbacks in the country, Devin Bush, will contribute in a big way to another possible Dome-coming.

His first full-time role was his sophomore year. So he's going to be a three-year starter. He's going to be a captain this year. A lot of responsibility comes with a lot of expectations. When you play at Karr the expectation is to always win a state championship. It's up to him now," said Karr Head Coach Brice Brown.

Rivals rates Bush as the seventh-best corner in the country. A player tough to grade, with opposing teams avoiding the four-star recruit.

"Last year film we're starting to break down, St. Paul's and Landry-Walker, they just don't throw it his way. A lot of his highlight tape is a lot of returns. You can't get a full evaluation. A lot of colleges watch him practice, because a lot of teams don't throw the ball his way," said Brown.

"When teams start to throw away from me it get a little boring. That's when you got to exceed in other parts of the game. Getting strips and returns," said  Bush.

He will choose between LSU, Clemson, and Tennessee. But that commitment won't come until later this fall.

I don't have a date to where I'm going to commit. But I feel like I'm going to take some officials during the season," said Bush.

"He's a workhorse. He's just as good athletically, and more balanced academically. That's what you want out of a student-athlete. You don't want them to forget that they're a student first, and an athlete second. Whatever school gets him come next fall, because he graduates in December, they're going to get a good guy," said Brown.
