NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Opening arguments began Tuesday for a North Shore woman accused of killing her fiancé.
Margaret Stockstill is accused of killing her fiancé Cody Couch during a heated argument back in April 2017.
Stockstill was originally charged with manslaughter, but a grand jury upgraded the charge to second-degree murder.
Prosecutors said the cell phone video of the incident will play prominently in the trial.
Stockstill has pleaded not guilty.
The trial is being conducted in Judge Peter Garcia's court.
