(WVUE) -

In this edition of FFF we dissect the 2019 recruiting class of Coach O, who's impressed at the World Cup, and the restaurant industry is opening too many spots.

FOOTBALL

In the last week Ed Orgeron pulled in, Derek Stingley Jr, the top player in the country according to Rivals. He wasn't done with his hot June either. He nabbed 4-star dual-threat quarterback Peter Parrish, tight end TK McClendon, cornerbacks Dreshun Miller and Cordale Flott, and Monday, linebacker Kendall McCallum.

The huge haul moved LSU up to No. 4 in Rivals rankings. By the beginning of next February, they could get all the way to the top. Destrehan RB John Emery Jr., Amite DT Ishmael Sopsher, Karr CB Devin Bush, and Amite WR Devonta Lee could be with the Tigers next fall.

LSU has missed numerous times on quarterbacks in the Miles era. With transfer Joe Burrow in the fold, plus Parrish for 2019, the future could be bright in Baton Rouge for Coach O.

FÚTBOL

Countries are out of the World Cup already, and some are just getting by. Then there's a crew of teams playing at a high level.

The most impressive countries so far at the WC: Mexico, Croatia, Belgium. All are showing no holes in their games, and could make deep runs in Russia. Speaking of Russia, I was so wrong on them. I had them out after group stages. They'll play Spain in the Round of 16.

FOOD

The Times-Picayune posted this story the other day, and I was downright scared.

24 new restaurants coming?! Restaurants are closing at an alarming rate, and it's only going to get worse. There's a reason some in the industry are getting out, the market is watered down.

There's too many open right now, and soon the bubble will burst.

Alvin Kamara did it all last season for Sean Payton's offense, and that's why he's No. 2 on our ranking the Saints countdown. Kamara burst onto the scene, mesmerized saints fans, and the entire NFL with his unique running style. His stat line, amazing: 728 yards rushing, averaged over six yards per carry, with  eight touchdowns. He also added 81 catches with five touchdowns. All the while playing just 45 percent of the Saints offensive snaps. Kamara ran away with the NFL's Off...more>>
