NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A city council member plans to drop his demand for records concerning the Sewerage and Water Board's billing system, according to our partners at NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune.

This comes after Councilman Joe Giarrusso found many workers at the board didn't know how to operate the system.

Giarrusso planned to demand the records after tens of thousands of complaints about inaccurate bills.

However, he now said the board has taken responsibility for the issues surrounding billing, and has emphasized the importance of re-training employees.
