Assisted living center workers accused of encouraging residents to fight

PONCHATOULA, LA (WVUE) - Two workers at an assisted living center face criminal charges for allegedly encouraging residents to fight.

According to a report by our partners NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, the incident took place at the Res-Care Assisted Living Facility in Ponchatoula in April.

Latricia Johnson and Tykeshia Barry face cruelty to the infirmed charges.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office said the pair also did not get one of the victims medical treatment.

The man suffered serious injuries to his face and legs.

The sheriff's office said others could also be charged.
