(WVUE) - Storm coverage will increase on Friday and it will remain above average into Sunday. There will be times of heavy rainfall but also many dry breaks. Locally heavy rain could cause some street flooding in spots.
The coverage of storms will return to more typical spotty levels for next week. It will also turn hotter with highs into the lower and even middle 90s.
There is no tropical threat to the Gulf of Mexico at this time.
