NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The NOPD has identified a suspect who opened fire on a car on Interstate 10 West at Crowder Boulevard back on August 1, 2018.  An arrest warrant has been issued for 19-year old Nas Jackson for the shooting that wounded three people, including a 2-year old boy.

Three victims were hit by flying bullets, including a 16-year-old boy who suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, a 22-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the leg and forearm and a 2-year-old boy with graze wounds to the shoulder and sternum.   Two other people in the car, which includes a woman and a 3-year old girl were not injured.  After the shooting, the gunmen continued driving west towards the high rise and the shot-up car pulled off the interstate and onto the service road.

During the investigation, Seventh District detectives learned that Jackson was reportedly involved in an ongoing dispute with the victims and was allegedly directly involved in this shooting. Based on this information, an arrest warrant was obtained for Jackson on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault with a firearm and illegal use of a firearm.
