The drier air has started to filter in behind the third cold front of July! Enjoy it while it lasts...it's only going to hang around for a few days. By Thursday, and through the weekend, several upper disturbances will trigger showers and thunderstorms. But for today and tomorrow, mostly sunny with highs around 90° and with lower dew points, overnight lows will reach the upper 60s north and low 70s south. In the tropics, it still appears as though a depression or storm is trying to get better organized, and that is the consensus from most of the tropical models. Keeping in mind this system is still far out in the Atlantic and would be days from the Islands, most models take the storm northward before reaching the US East coast sometime next week.
