Saints Head Coach Sean Payton has some specific goals for his team.

“As a coach, you want to see your units operating efficiently without a lot of mental errors. Certainly it’s not a perfect game, it’s an imperfect game, but you want to see guys playing with the energy that’s required to win at our level,” said Payton.

With cutdown day just over a week away, the process to pick the right 53 only gets more intense.

"Then we get to that next phase when it comes to the evaluation, and there’s 11, 14 specific competitions that are going on with the guys. Are they in or (are) they off? Those are real important in these next two weeks,” said Payton.

Payton says the starters will play into the second quarter Saturday night, and in some cases even longer depending on snap count.
