NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Two New Orleans East strip clubs had their liquor licenses suspended Friday (Aug. 24) after an extended undercover investigation found criminal activity that included drug sales, drug use, solicitation for prostitution and sex acts, according to the Louisiana Alcohol and Tobacco Control (ATC) Enforcement Division.

The emergency suspensions were served by the ATC, the New Orleans Police Department’s Major Case Narcotics Division, the Louisiana State Police and the Louisiana Probation and Parole to gentlemen’s clubs Visions and She She’s, which are now prohibited from selling or serving alcohol or tobacco pending an emergency hearing.

A third club, Passions, had already been denied a permit renewal for failure to comply with the terms of a consent agreement with the ATC. However, the ATC said the undercover investigation revealed additional criminal activity at Passions, including drug sales, drugs on the premises and solicitation of prostitution. Passions was previously suspended for similar offenses.

The businesses will be set for mandatory hearings with the ATC to determine penalties.
