Big 8 rankings: Curtis moves up, and Jesuit makes their debut
The Patriots defense swarms Easton QB Lance Legendre.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - John Curtis moves up in our Big 8 rankings after a big win over Easton, and Jesuit enters the poll after beating rival Holy Cross.

1. Karr

Karr looks unstoppable in 2018, and remain undefeated. Rival McDonogh 35 is on the schedule this week, but the Cougars should get by with no problem.

2. Curtis

Quarterback Collin Guggenheim, and the Patriots defense terrorized Easton all night, winning in convincing fashion, 38-20. Curtis has another good test Friday night when they meet up with Jesuit.

3. Ehret

John Ehret continues to roll up wins with a balanced attack on offense, and a very intimidating defense. The Patriots will be playing for a district title next week against Landry-Walker.

4. Terrebonne

The Tigers haven’t been to the Dome since 1983. Well, this squad has all the makings of a title team after crushing Hahnville, 41-0.

5. Destrehan

Mark your calendars now, Terrebonne at Destrehan, November 2nd. This will be for the district title, no doubt.

6. Lakeshore

The Titans last regular season loss came against Franklinton in the 2016 season. With another strong roster in 2018, expect Lakeshore to stay undefeated this regular season.

7. Easton

The Eagles are still in the Big 8 because they only have one loss, to Curtis. Lance Legendre and the crew will be fine, wins will continue this week.

8. Jesuit

The Blue Jays got smoked in their opener by Easton. But since then, they’ve rolled off four straight wins. After finishing 2-9 last season, the Jays have been on a mission not to repeat that record.
