Son of former LA Supreme Court justice pleads not guilty in human trafficking case

Son of former LA Supreme Court Justice charged with human trafficking set for arraignment

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The son of a retired Louisiana Supreme Court chief justice was arraigned Wednesday on a child sex trafficking charge.

Fifty-nine-year-old Pascal Calagaro III entered a not guilty plea at his federal arraignment. Calogero is accused of arranging, facilitating and going on sex dates with a 14-year-old Metairie girl.

Calogero is the son of the longest serving Supreme Court justice in state history. Investigators say last year, Calogero III not only went on sex dates with the teen but also drove her to sex dates with other men in May of 2017. According to the federal bill of information, he negotiated prices and arranged times and locations for those dates.

Calogero was given a $50,000 bond and placed on home detention. He’ll have his location GPS monitored.

His attorneys are not commenting on the case.
