NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The NOPD is investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred in the Sixth District on the Pontchartrain Expressway.

The incident, classified as road rage, was reported at 11:59 a.m. on U.S. 90 Business West at Carondelet Street. It is believed that the incident started at another location continued on to U.S 90 West.

As the two drivers headed toward the West Bank, a shot was fired from one vehicle into another, striking the driver in the shoulder. The wounded driver was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Two lanes of the Pontchartrain Expressway were closed for several hours as investigators processed the scene.

Devin Raymond (B/M DOB: 10-19-1995) is charged with one count of aggravated battery by shooting.

The two lanes closed earlier during the investigation have reopened.
