NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Tulane quarterback Justin McMillan passed for 92 yards, and ran for 75 yards with two touchdowns, in a 24-17 victory over Tulsa. This was the first start for the LSU transfer.
Tied at 17, McMillan ran for a 39-yard score with 3:45 left in the game. That would be the winning score in the contest.
“This was his first game to start since high school,” Fritz said of McMillan to the Times-Picayune. “He showed a tremendous amount of poise tonight. He may have a couple of throws he would like to have back, but, overall, I thought he directed the game well."
The win moves Tulane to 3-5 overall, and 2-2 in American Conference play.
