NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Fans are encircling the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans early Thursday morning to get their hands on tickets to see the Rolling Stones in their only U.S. show this year that has not sold out.
The Stones are headlining the New Orleans Heritage and Jazz Festival in May and Louisiana residents get first dibs on tickets.
This is what you need to know if you want tickets:
- Tickets are available only to Louisiana residents today
- You must have a valid Louisiana ID and you'll only be able to buy two tickets per ID
- It must be your ID
- Tickets will cost $185 each for the May 2 concert.
You can buy the tickets at 10 a.m. at the ticket counter near Gate H. There is also a second line at near Gate D. Parking is at Garage 5 and there are only a limited number of tickets available.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday and every other day of the festival will cost you $70 for that early bird pricing.
But festival organizers say those tickets to the May 2 date will likely sell out as they are only offering a limited amount for that day of the festival.
