NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - It’s been four months since Tiger Woods played on the PGA Tour, but he’s ready to go this week in the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.

Tiger’s last tourney of 2018 was a win in the the Tour Championship. To this day he’s amazed at how the victory touched off so many emotions in his circle of friends.

People that saw the difficult times, and just to see I made it that far back. That was touching to me, because I didn’t really expect that. Because I’m inside the ropes, and I know what it took for me. I didn’t know it would affect anyone else," said Woods.

Woods owns 80 victories on the PGA Tour. Eight of those wins have come at Torrey Pines.
