Plan to redevelop Charity Hospital expected to move forward

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -The plan to redevelop Charity Hospital is expected to move forward Friday.

The LSU Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote on the proposal.

The current plan is for the abandoned building to hold housing and commercial space.

It includes a diverse mix of housing types including for Tulane students and staff, as well as market rate units and workforce housing.

The board is expected to approve the project.
