NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Amid all of the Anthony Davis trade talks, the Pelicans have completed a deal to acquire another power forward in eighth-year pro Markieff Morris, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Pels send small forward Wesley Johnson to Washington in the deal and will also receive the Wizards’ 2023 second round pick. Johnson has played in just 26 games this season, averaging 3.7 points per game.
Morris has not played since December due to a neck injury but is averaging 11.5 points per game this season.
The NBA Trade Deadline is Thursday at 2 PM, central time.
