NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Delvin Breaux’s return to the Canadian Football League has proven to be a wise decision as the 29-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Hamilton TigerCats.
The New Orleans native was an All-Star with Hamilton in 2014 and again in 2018. His NFL was shortlived with the Saints due to injury. After playing 16 games and becoming a fan favorite in 2015, he played just six games in 2016 and spent all of 2017 on injured reserve.
“Delvin is one of the most dominant defensive players in the Canadian Football League,” Tiger-Cats coach Orlondo Steinauer told the team’s official website. “Not only is he a great player, but a great person who enables us to keep continuity in the secondary. We are very excited to be able to retain a player of his calibre on a long-term deal.”
Hamilton’s season gets started in June.
