NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A cold front will bring widespread rain and maybe a couple claps of thunder on Tuesday morning. The rain is not expected to be that heavy. Most of it will move out by the afternoon hours and temperatures will drop just a bit into the 50s and lower 60s after morning highs in the upper 60s.
Cooler and drier air arrives on Wednesday. It will be sunny and pleasant. Another weak front will approach the area on Friday with just a slight chance for rain in the morning.
As of now the weekend looks dry and fairly mild as the parade scene really begins to roll.
