Man arrested after 2 pounds of marijuana, cash found during traffic stop

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -A Folsom man has been arrested for possession of marijuana, according to Mandeville Police.

On Monday Randy Baptiste, 60, was stopped at a traffic stop on North Causeway Approach for improper lane use.

Randy Batiste was subsequently booked for possession with intent to distribute marijuana, improper lane use and driving under suspension before being remanded to the St Tammany Parish Jail.

According to Mandeville Police, during the traffic stop officers detected a strong odor.

Police said they also found that Batiste’s license was suspended.

After searching his vehicle, officers found over two pounds of suspected marijuana, and $2,500 in cash.

Batiste was booked for possession with intent to distribute marijuana, improper lane use and driving under suspension before being remanded to the St Tammany Parish Jail, according to the report.
